Little Dripper Ceramic Coffee Pot by Michael Graves for Swid Powell

About the Item

Perhaps Michael Graves' (1934-2015) most well-known design for Swid Powell, The Little Dripper (1986) is a 10 cup coffee pot born from Graves' preference for drip coffee and a lack of available drip coffee makers that met his aesthetic standards. High gloss white glaze on pot, filter holder, and lid with gold decoration and brick red base. Examples of this stunning post modernism design can be found in the permanent collections of the Brooklyn Museum, Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum, the Victoria and Albert Museum, the RISD Museum, and the Yale University Art Gallery, In good vintage condition with little sign of wear. Signed on underside of pot with "Said Powell The Little Dripper" and Graves' signature. Includes pot, ceramic filter holder, and lid. Measures: 9.5" x 6" x 9.5".
