Ewer Early 20th Century
About the Item
Very nice ewer, carafe from the early 20th century. The body is made of smooth glass while the foot, handle and spout are made of pewter, a very rare element and one of the oldest known at least since antiquity. The handle is graceful with a vegetal motif, like an inspiration of the Louis 15 style. On the back of the spout, at the level of the handle, is engraved a hallmark "JG" overhung by a crown.
