Wedgwood Chinoiserie Plate

About the Item

Wedgwood chinoiserie shallow-bowled plate with lobed peach slip edge. Fantastical rose apricot, peach and pale yellow and green decoration with fanciful oriental figure proffering a dragonfly to a long-billed bird surrounded by butterflies and blossoms, acorns and strawberries. Impressed mark for Wedgwood, England, first quarter of the 19th century. Dimensions: 12" diameter x 1.25" height.
