19th Century Japanese Porcelain Plate with Hand-Painted Blue and White Décor

About the Item

A Japanese hand-painted porcelain plate from the 19th century, with blue and white tree and foliage décor and scalloped edge. Created in Japan during the 19th century, this porcelain plate features a delicate blue and white décor depicting a blooming tree, bushes and a haystack standing out beautifully on a negative space. Perfectly composed with most of the motifs represented towards the right side and lines leading our eyes throughout the scene, the plate is perfectly balanced. Bordered by a scalloped edge adorned with fluffy clouds, this 19th century Japanese hand-painted blue and white porcelain plate will make for a lovely addition to any home décor, perhaps placed on a commode, side table or console!
