- Pair of Tall Empire silver plate Candelabras by JG Galle - early 19th centuryBy Gérard-Jean GalleLocated in GRENOBLE, FRRare pair of silver plate bronze candelabras, early 19th century production (Empire period). Beautiful Louis XVI style model, elegant proportions, 2 to 3 lights each (you can turn the center piece over to get a third light). This books testifies that the ormolu pair has probably been delivered there by Claude Galle in 1807. Our pair is a variant of this pair of candlesticks : - silver plate instead of gilt bronze - the candelabra part on top Early 19th century work attributed to Gerard Jean Galle...Category
