About the Item

A fine Meissen Porcelain rabbit figure, after a model by J.J. Kandler; with blue double-crossed swords underglaze mark including a blue dot between swords, Indicative of the Pfeiffer period. This truly realistic figure of a naturalistic rabbit demonstrates the truly remarkable quality of Meissen Porcelain sculptures. The rabbit has shades of brown, white, and grey fur and can be found seated atop a flowering meadow, indicative of the coming spring. Incised numbers: 1279. 10 6. Germany, circa 1924-1934.
