About the Item

This is one of a series of animal bowls designed for Nymphenburg Porcelain Manufactory by Hella Jongerius. The large bowl with a rabbit adorned in a blue floral pattern is the perfect object of discussion. As a decorative object, a fruit bowl or as a serving piece, this is a must have for a design afin public. The piece is hand thrown on the potter´s wheel from fine Nymphenburg porcelain. The hippo figure hand crafted in the figure department. The hippo is underglaze painted in our studios in a realistic manner. Both the bowl and the figure then receive a delightful floral pattern hand painted to accentuate the white fur of the rabbit´s ear lining, tummy and tail. The creaters marks are all visible on the upper side of the piece - Nymphenburg embossed stamp, Unterglaze Stamp of the manufactory, Hella Jongeriu´s stamp, the numbers of the painter, the decor and the item. All proof that this is a genuine Nymphenburg piece
