Sitzendorf porcelain group of a young couple
German, c. 1900
Measures: Height 16cm, width 14cm, depth 9cm
This charming and vibrantly coloured porcelain group depicts two figures—one a young boy, the other a young girl—in warm winter dress. The boy sits on top of a sledge and carries an axe, while the girl warms her hands beside a small fire. Both figures are supported on an integral base decorated with ivy and gilt detailing.
The underside features an impressed mark for Sitzendorf.
