Japanese Shoji Hamada Inspired Bamboo Studio Plate

About the Item

A stylish vintage Japanese studio pottery plate decorated with a bamboo design possibly by Shoji Hamada and certainly inspired by him. The wax resist bamboo design is in natural unglazed red clay colors set within a surround of black on white glazes with a wax resist rim around the plate. Glazed matt black to the base the plate is not marked.
