Large Vintage Pottery Vessel

About the Item

An extremely well executed large pottery vessel attributed to Paul Soldner one of the first students of Peter Voulkos. He was a master of Raku and low temperature salt firing. This vessel is large, approximately 24 inches tall. It has a beautiful glaze and a delicate folded top. The vase is in good condition with a few chips on the very bottom rim, which have been colored at some point, see the photos. There is considerable flaking on the interior of the vessel to the glaze.
