Set of Six '6' French Faience Asparagus Plates by Luneville

About the Item

Set of very decorative, late 19th century blue-green French Majolica asparagus plates, hand-painted in white, green and purple, showing four asparagus spears in relief, and with fluted rims. The underside is stamped "Depose K G Luneville." This asparagus plate is an excellent example of 19th Century French Majolica. Luneville Faience is one of the most famous French pottery manufacturers. We have two sets of 6 plates, so a total of 12 plates are available.

    Wear consistent with age and use. Very good overall, with light crazing and surface wear, as expected; tripod marks on the bottom.
