French Barbotine Majolica Sarreguemines Basket of Grapes Covered Tureen

About the Item

A French majolica covered tureen in the form of a handled basket brimming with bunches of grapes, Sarreguemines, circa 1900-1920. A grape vine branch forms the top handle, grape bunches in purple, green, and red, topped with a large green grape leaf makes up the lid. The base resembles a rustic woven basket with side handles. The base is impressed Sarreguemines, France, the lid is impressed with a mold number, 3736. Measures: 7.5 in. in diameter x 5 in. height Very good antique condition.
