Italian Renaissance Revival Faïence Floral Square Serving Platters, Set of Two

About the Item

In the Renaissance Revival rose pattern from the Barrettoni già Antonibon pottery in Nove, Italy, a set of two square shaped serving platters, circa 1930s. An overall floral decoration with a bright blue dash and dot border on a scallop rimmed platters. Brightly glazed, the Rose floral pattern is distinctive to this type of Italian majolica ceramics. Measures: 9.5 in. in diameter x 1.0 in. height Marked: Stamped with the importer’s mark, JW Co. and Nove Flower, Hand Painted, Italy – on the versos. Light wear to the rims, typical of faïence.
