Petite Chinese Tray with Rose Mirror, c. 1900

About the Item

Simple lines, a modest form, and a layer of hand-brushed dark brown lacquer give this petite Qing-dynasty tray a provincial charm that recalls the warmth of home. The square tray has developed great character from years of use serving tea or food to friends and family gathered on traditional kang daybeds. We've installed a rose-toned mirror to the base to transform the rustic tray into an elevated serving platter or wall mirror.
