Victorian Sheffield Plate Footed Two-Bottle Cruet Set by William Hutton and Sons
About the Item
Victorian, Sheffield plated, footed, two bottle cruet set (consisting of the two bottles, stoppers and stand), Sheffield, England, circa 1878, William Hutton and Sons - makers. Stand measures: 10 1/8 inches high (to top of handle) x 8 1/2 inches wide x 3 inches deep at deepest point. Bottles measure: 6 1/2 inches high (to top of finial on corks) x 3 inches wide from edge of spout to far edge of handle. Each stopper is attached to the stand by a chain that loops through the oval handle. Beautifully made: Wire bottle holders are screwed (not soldered) into the base. Graceful design. Plating is in very good antique condition. Dark spots in photos are reflections. In very good antique condition.
