1978 Sterling Silver Champagne Flutes Set of Six

About the Item

An fine and impressive set of six vintage Elizabeth II English sterling silver champagne flutes made by Stuart Devlin; an addition to our range of collectable silverware. These impressive vintage Elizabeth II sterling silver champagne flutes have a plain conical flute shaped form onto a pedestal and plain circular spreading foot. The surface of each champagne flute is plain and unembellished. The tapering textured finished pedestals are embellished with parcel-gilt decoration. These vintage champagne flutes were crafted by and reflect the iconic style of the renowned London silversmith Stuart Devlin. Condition This set of vintage champagne flutes is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in excellent presentation condition. Full hallmarks struck to the underside of each champagne flute are all very clear. Dimensions Height 22.5cm/8.9". Diameter of rim 6.6cm/2.65". Diameter of foot 6.7cm/2.7". The surface of each solid silver mug is encircled with two fine and impressive broad bands of tooled decoration, in addition to the contemporary bright cut engraved crest of a spur erect between two wings. The upper rim of each mug is encompassed with a plain applied moulded border. Each mug is fitted with a plain C shaped handle, with tapering sockets. The underside of each mug bears the retailer's mark 'Hunt & Roskell'. These exceptional mugs retain the original gilded interiors.
