    An exceptional, fine and impressive Russian silver gilt and niello enamel beaker, an addition to our Russian silverware collection. This exceptional antique Russian silver gilt beaker has a cylindrical, tapering form. The surface of this antique beaker is embellished with a fine niello enamel scene depicting a structural rooftop skyline behind a towered brick wall, incorporating cloud designs on the matte textured upper portion. The ornamentation to the beaker is flanked with two opposing chevron style borders. The upper rim of the beaker is encircled with an applied moulded border. The hallmarks struck to the beaker include: Maker's mark: ?? (Andrey Shikhin / ?????? ?????, Tver) Assay mark: ??, 1827 (Nikolay Dubrovin/??????? ????????)
