The upper and lower rim of this sterling mustard pot is ornamented with an applied bead decorated border. This fine mustard pot retains the original hallmarked hinged domed cover surmounted with an impressive interlacing tri-lobed thumbpiece. This antique piece is fitted with an opposing scroll handle ornamented with a plain scrolling thumbpiece. The mustard pot retains the original removable blue glass liner. The body of the mustard pot is encompassed with an exceptional and impressive band of bright cut engraved interlacing decoration accented with a simplified leaf motif. The decoration to the body incorporates a contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting an eagle rousant, with wings addorsed and inverted, collared and chained, with an unidentified charge. The upper and lower rims of this fine example of Victorian silverware are ornamented with an impressive applied bead decorated border.
