This is an antique decorative condiment set. An English, sterling silver boxed set by Henry Matthews of Birmingham, hallmarked in the Edwardian period, dated 1909. A fine set, presented wonderfully within the original quality case Displaying a desirable aged patina throughout Sterling silver shines brightly with decades of gently polished finish Striking blue glass inserts show the deepest cobalt hues Encased within quality English oak, showing rich caramel hues and fine grain interest Fully lined interior - the lid graced with rich blue silk cotton Dressed in dark blue velvet, each condiment pot sits within a shaped enclosure Each of the five spoons held in place with small elastic hoops Egg and dart detail adorns each piece with fine detail and sinuous forms A quartet of graceful condiment pots with graceful swan neck handles Mustard pot offers a hinged lid with spoon recess and blue glass interior Each piece hallmarked with HM, the lion passant, Birmingham anchor assay mark and 1909 letter K This is a superb antique decorative condiment set, presented beautifully within a quality oak case with striking lined finish to the interior.     A magnificent, comprehensive and Art Deco antique George V English sterling silver twelve piece condiment set - boxed; an addition to our dining silverware collection. This exceptional antique George V twelve piece silver condiment set consists of three salts, three pepper pots, two mustard pots, two sauce ladles and two sauce pales. The impressive Art Deco salts, mustard pots and sauce pales have circular rounded forms and the accompanying pepper pots each have a plain baluster form. The surface of each piece is plain and unembellished. The antique silver salts have gilded interiors. The impressive salts and large sauce pales are all fitted with two scrolling handles; the silver mustard pots each feature one elongated scrolling handle and a hinged plain cover. The silver pepper pots are fitted with push fit covers with pierced 'pepper' holes in multiple diagonal line formations.
