Antique George v 1930s Sterling Silver Teapot by Roberts & Belk Ltd

About the Item

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver teapot made by Roberts & Belk Ltd; an addition to our silver teaware collection. This exceptional antique George V sterling silver teapot has a plain paneled rounded form onto a spreading octagonal base. The paneled surface of the teapot is plain and unembellished, with swept shoulders an applied moulded border to the upper rim. This Roberts and Belk silver teapot retains the original hinged hallmarked domed paneled cover surmounted with the original hallmarked, silver topped painted wood finial. The teapot is fitted with the original painted wood handle with a plain scrolling thumbpiece; the handpiece is fitted to sterling silver sockets. This antique teapot has a plain tapering spout. This impressive example of antique silverware bears the retailer's mark/icon of James Dixon to the underside, in addition to registration number 'Reg no 759403'. Condition This antique Roberts and Belk silver teapot is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. This fine example of antique teaware has been professionally polished and is in presentation condition. The interior of the teapot has been professionally cleaned and is ready for use. Full hallmarks struck to the surface, in addition to the part hallmarks to the interior of the cover and surface of the finial are very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
