About the Item
An exceptional, fine and impressive antique German 800 standard silver flatware service for twelve persons; an addition to our flatware collection.
The pieces of this exceptional, fine and impressive antique German silver flatware service for twelve persons have been crafted in a variation of the Laurel and Ribbon pattern.
The anterior and posterior surfaces of each rococo inspired handle are embellished with scrolling floral and foliate ornamentation.
The anterior of each handle terminal is further ornamented with impressive scrolling decoration forming a cartouche; each cartouche is embellished with the impressive contemporary engraved monogram initials 'AJ'.
The posterior of each handle terminal is embellished with a contemporary engraved date.
The reverse of each bowl and the anterior of each neck are further ornamented with foliate motifs.
