A fine set of antique aristocratic Georgian dining sterling silver cutlery (110 pieces & silver weight 288 Troy ounces) by William Tuite & retailed by Garrard & Co, London, 1788.
This very fine set of antique Georgian sterling silver was made in London in 1788 by William Tuite silversmith and retailed by the preeminent London retailer of the 18th century, Garrard & Co. This shell pattern service is for 11 people with lots of extra large and medium forks and large and medium spoons, plus serving pieces, each piece is marked with the same date letter code & William Tuite's mark. Condition is very good, the total silver weight excluding the steel blades is 288 troy ounces (8,164 grams).
