Antique Sterling Silver Kitchen Pepper

About the Item

A fine and impressive antique George V English sterling silver kitchen pepper shaker; an addition to our silver cruet and condiments collection. This fine antique George V sterling silver kitchen pepper has a plain cylindrical form onto a collet style foot. The body, cover and foot of this silver pepper are encircled with bands of applied moulded decoration. The pepper retains the original domed push fit hallmarked cover ornamented with pierced 'pepper' holes in a floral motif formation. This impressive antique kitchen pepper is fitted with a plain scrolling handle. Condition This antique kitchen pepper is a very good gauge of silver, fine quality and in exceptional condition. Full hallmarks struck to the surface of the body and cover are all very clear.     A fine and impressive, unusual antique Victorian English sterling silver novelty pepper shaker; an addition to our diverse silverware collection. This fine antique Victorian sterling silver novelty pepper has a plain ovoid shaped form. The body of the pepper is embellished with impressive chased decoration depicting a cracked egg shell with a boy’s face and hands to the anterior surface and his feet and buttocks to the reverse. The body has pierced 'pepper' holes in a hexagram formation to the upper portion.
