Art Deco French Solid Silver Tray - Boulenger & Cie Paris 1933 - "Thé Monique"
About the Item
Created as part of the "service à thé Monique" pattern by the Orféverie Boulenger & Cie of Paris in 1933, this stunning tray is plain and circular to the centre, with a dodecagonal rim, and polished wooden handles to both sides. A fine example of the French Art Deco design of this period.
The tray measures 1.25"(3cm) tall, by 19.5"(49.5cm) wide over the handles, by 16.5"(42cm) deep, and weighs 74.3 troy ounces.
It is recorded in the magazine: 'Nouveau Modéles, Style Moderne'. Published in October 1933. Extract 4, Page 7.
