Art Deco Tea Set 3-Piece Sterling Silver Fine Quality, Sheffield England, 1930

About the Item

This is a fine quality Sterling Silver, Art Deco period, 3-piece tea set consisting of teapot, milk jug and Sugar Bowl, made by Cooper Brothers & Sons of Sheffield, England in 1930. All pieces have a very "in period" geometric shape with angular handles as per the images. All three pieces are clearly & fully hall marked for the Sheffield maker with their initials in a shield, together with the sterling silver marks for Sheffield with the date letter 'n' for 1930. They all have " S2195" stamped on the base, which is probably the makers code or serial number for this set. The pieces have a very good weight as below; Teapot: 512gram Sugar bowl: 145 gram Milk jug: 68 gram Overall a very beautiful, stylish and fully usable sterling silver tea set.
