    Magnificent chaplain in solid silver mesh with two compartments. Its closure is straight, decorated with a frieze of acanthus leaves, it has a bail ring so that it can be hung on a chatelaine. From the 12th century to the 14th century, the chaplain has been an essential complement to daily clothing for both men and women. The oldest form of the chaplain is that of a small bag, with two cords (or loops) to close it, and another cord to open it and hang it from the belt by means of a stirrup.
