About the Item

Early 19th century sterling silver vinaigrette by John Willmore-Birmingham Silver maker. Notice the extraordinarily hand pieced and engraved fold out grille and interior, its beautiful. John Willmore registered his mark as a snuff box maker in 1806 but in 1816 after his grandfather Thomas Wilmore ( a well known silversmith ) died Joseph incorporated his grandfathers business into his own giving him more scope to expand the variety of his silverwares. This is from a private collector who traveled the world buying beautiful pieces a true find.
