    A fine and impressive, unusual antique Victorian English sterling silver novelty pepper shaker; an addition to our diverse silverware collection. This fine antique Victorian sterling silver novelty pepper has a plain ovoid shaped form. The body of the pepper is embellished with impressive chased decoration depicting a cracked egg shell with a boy’s face and hands to the anterior surface and his feet and buttocks to the reverse. The body has pierced 'pepper' holes in a hexagram formation to the upper portion. This pepper retains the original fully hallmarked screw fit weighted base; which when unscrewed provides access to permit the pot to be filled. This novelty pepper is a fine example of its type.     An exceptional, fine and impressive pair of antique Edwardian English sterling silver pepper grinders - boxed; an addition to our collectable silver collection. These exceptional antique sterling silver pepper grinders have a circular baluster shaped form. The surface of each pepper is plain and the lower portion is embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest depicting out of a ducal coronet a horse's head*. These impressive silver peppers retain the original hallmarked circular rounded covers, each surmounted by the functional sterling silver finial; this allows access to permit the grinder to be filled. The underside of each grinder retains the original serrated grille and horizontal securing bar. These exceptional Edwardian peppers are fitted to the original presentation box, with a satin and velvet lined interior and securing with a push fit catch; this box is a fine feature of the pair of peppers.
