Extraordinary Antique English Sterling Geo. Style Cut Glass 7-Bottle Cruet Set

About the Item

Finest antique English hand engraved sterling silver boat-shaped, Georgian style, rare seven bottle cruet set comprising six original magnificent heavy hand cut crystal cruet bottles retaining their original sterling silver tops (with same hallmarks as stand) and one original sterling and hand cut crystal mustard pot (with same hallmarks as stand) and having a rare "married" Antique American coin silver mustard spoon (Fenno & Kale of Bangor, ME). Please note the fabulous handle, and hand engraved sterling divider also retaining the same hallmarks as the stand with its original wooden bottom. There are a couple of chips to the bottoms of two of the bottles and are illustrated, otherwise the stoppers and bottles as well as the stand is pristine, age-appropriate condition. Hallmarks and Maker's marks for James Edwards, London, 1861/62.

    Wear consistent with age and use. Minor structural damages. Extremely fine Age-Appropriate Antique condition. But for two chips on two bottle bases, it is otherwise pristine and completely original.

    A magnificent, comprehensive and Art Deco antique George V English sterling silver twelve piece condiment set - boxed; an addition to our dining silverware collection. This exceptional antique George V twelve piece silver condiment set consists of three salts, three pepper pots, two mustard pots, two sauce ladles and two sauce pales. The impressive Art Deco salts, mustard pots and sauce pales have circular rounded forms and the accompanying pepper pots each have a plain baluster form. The surface of each piece is plain and unembellished. The antique silver salts have gilded interiors. The impressive salts and large sauce pales are all fitted with two scrolling handles; the silver mustard pots each feature one elongated scrolling handle and a hinged plain cover. The silver pepper pots are fitted with push fit covers with pierced 'pepper' holes in multiple diagonal line formations.
