    Sterling Solid Silver - Pair of Fiddle Pattern Dessert Spoons Made in 1844, ( 179 years old), by William Eaton. A full set of hallmarks applied by the London Assay Office:- Leopard`s head - London Assay Office mark. Lion - Sterling silver guarantee Upper case I - date letter for London 1844 WE - Maker`s mark for William Eaton. ( Specialist flatware maker). An excellent pair of heavy gauge dessert spoons, made in the traditional fiddle shape. Hardly used but well loved - excellent patination. Notice that there is no sign of wear on the bowl lead edge - showing that they hardly been used, and still have a lifetime of use in them, certainly enough for several generations. A very prominent and interesting armorial - a wolf`s head. No damage - dents, scuffs or scratches. Length:- 176 millimetres / 6.92 inches. Pair weight...
