About the Item
Curious jug called "Askos" in solid silver, mounted on tripod base. The elongated, bulging body is pushed back wide. The spout is delicately hemmed. The handle with chiseled winding of scales is terminated by clips in the shape of a salamander. Silver hallmark: Minerva 1st title - Weight 1006 grams - Dimensions: width 22 cm - height 23 cm
The askos is an antique hemispherical vase, with a collar and a semi-circular handle. This vase recalls the shape of goatskin bottles used in antiquity to contain liquids.
