Pair of Art Nouveau Glass Carafes with Silver Mounts, Gaston Bardiés Paris, 1900

Pair of carafes made of clear glass on a square stand, tapering towards the top to a round cross-section, ground in the lower quarter with an arc-shaped facet, in the upper half delicate flower bouquets and festons in matt cut, ground star, silver fitting with hinged lid with thumb rest and profiled, in the upper area angular, J- shaped handle that tapers downwards. Dimensions: height: 27.0 cm / 10.62 in width: 14.5 cm / 5.70 in depth: 10.0 cm / 3.93 in Hallmarks: Minerva Head - 'Minerve casquée, French official hallmark for 950 Silver, 1838-1973 G & B next to heraldic lily in diamond - Master's sign of Gaston Bardiés,13, rue des Fontaines Paris, 1897/1914 Made around 1900 Condition: very well maintained.
