Pair of Schofield sterling silver Repousse wine coasters in beautiful repousse design and in famed Baltimore Rose pattern measuring 6'' in diameter. Total weight is 8.6 ozt. The Schofield Company (1903–1977) also known as the Baltimore Silversmiths Manufacturing Company was a Baltimore area silver company, whose best known pattern was Baltimore Rose. Frank M. Schofield was born in 1873 and was the great-great-grandson of John Schofield, an English Silversmith in London 1740–1772. In 1891, at the age of 18, Frank Schofield started an apprenticeship at The Gorham Mfg. Co. in Providence. Schofield had a thriving silver business, buying the Baltimore-based silver brand Jenkins & Jenkins in 1915.
