Set of 12 Wallace Grande Baroque Sterling Silver Flatware with Orignal Canteen
About the Item
First produced in 1941, the design of Wallace Grande Baroque silverware was created by William S. Warren to celebrate the art of the Baroque period. In designing grande baroque flatware, silversmith warren drew upon his knowledge of Renaissance and Baroque art to create a true masterpiece in sterling silver.
Styled in the lavish Baroque manner, this highly collectible pattern is our best seller. Introduced in 1941, it captures classic symbols of the Renaissance in the exquisitely carved pillar and acanthus leaf curved as in nature. The sculptural, hand-wrought quality is evident in the playful open work and intricate, three-dimensional detail, which carries to the functional bowls and tines, and is apparent whether viewed in front, back, or profile. Perfect for traditional and formal settings. Handmade in America.
