About the Item

A set of six antique George III Scottish sterling silver Celtic-point pattern basting spoons. Hallmarked with Edinburgh assay marks, date letter "Y" to denote 1804, and the makers mark "AH" for Alexander Henderson. Assay: - .925 (Sterling silver) Period: - Early 19th Century. Date: - 1804. Engraving: - The terminals are engraved with an initial below a coronet. The crest is that of Viscounts Dalrymple, Dillon, Doneraile, Dongan and others. Maker: - Alexander Henderson. Measurement: - 31.6cm (length) x 4.9cm (width). Weight: - 596.8 grams. Condition: - The basting spoons are in good antique condition. Minor surface nicks, pin-prick dings, scratches, and tarnishing commensurate with age. Please see photographs for confirmation of condition. Item No: - 2129_ww1.
