Rare circa 1960 sterling silver box by William SPRATLING of Taxco, Mexico, the entire fish articulated with the head flipping back to open, but can be shut with an attached clasp, the head hammered, the tail engraved, the articulated scales of the fish with escalloped edges, and obsidian eyes..
Weight 4 oz. Length of fish 9 inches. No monogram. Marked as illustrated in photo.
(This is an object that also looks superb just placed on a table.)
