Incredible 19th century English Silver Centrepiece or Epergne - William IV 1834

About the Item

Hallmarked in Birmingham in 1834 by Robinson, Edkins & Aston, this incredible, William IV Period, antique sterling silver centrepiece, has a central glass bowl, and 4 smaller bowls which can be switched for silver sconces to allow the use of candles. The centrepiece features wonderful cast and applied floral decoration throughout. The epergne measures 17.5"(44cm) tall, by 16"(41cm) wide and deep, and weighs 146 troy ounces. Engraved to the front with the coat of arms of Reverend Allan Smith Masters.
