Castillo Taxco Modernist Silverplate Coffee Set Inlaid with Lapis and Malachite

The renowned silversmiths of the Taxco atelier Los Castillo are unmatched at creating useful silver items inlaid with abalone, lapis, or malachite. This gorgeous three-piece Los Castillo Modernist silver plate coffee or tea set is a beautiful example of the atelier's design expertise and Fine craftsmanship.
This spectacular set is exceedingly rare. Crafted with beautiful angular lines, each striking silver plate piece features inlaid lapis and malachite on both its handle and in a band around its center. In extraordinarily Fine condition, the lidded coffee or tea pot measures 8 3/4” x 5 1/2”, the creamer 5 1/2” x 5”, the lidded sugar bowl 3 1/2” x 5 1/2”. Hallmarked Los Castillo Taxco Plateado, with 8 on pot and 12 on sugar. A highly collectible set.
