Ceramics with shapes and patterns characteristic of the work of Denis & Peter Orlando.
American-born Peter Orlando (1953-2009) married a Parisian woman he met in France while serving as a soldier in World War II. They will work together on ceramics. Trained at the Beaux-Arts in Paris and at the Sèvres workshops, he opened his own studio in Paris, where he produced ceramics from 1952 to 1968, before devoting himself exclusively to painting.
These ceramics are very particular, the forms, colors and patterns are directly borrowed from the surrealist style that has strongly marked the artistic production of the artist.
