Mid-20th Century French Passe Boule Game

About the Item

Mid-20th Century French Passe Boule Game A highly decorative hand-crafted example of a mid-20th Century French passe boule game, in the form of a clown figure. The top hat is attached by a hinged flap that can be flipped back. Still with its original cotton stitched collection pouch in place. This item is hand painted and shows a very primitive construction made from pine wood, which in our humble opinion make it even more decorative and desirable. Days gone by when fairground entertainment was simple and fun. Origin: France/Belgium Material: Wood Age: mid-20th Century Size: Height 28” x Width 22” x Depth 10” Condition Report 1. Worn surface area. 2. Patina and staining of colour. 3. Worn wooden area. 4. Rust on the metal areas. 5. Rivette repair to the right arm. This item is untouched in form, it is firmly in place and secure to display and can used functionally. Its exceedingly difficult to photograph all the areas of these pieces, therefore we strongly suggest reviewing all the photos provided as part of this advert and propose questions where sections are unclear to avoid disappointment upon purchase. For multiple years we have sold antique and vintage items globally, please expect our items to show relevant age and natural wear, Items are only restored due to breaks and loss, and we always stipulate this in our condition report.
