American hand held cast brass engraved Yachtsman's speaking trumpet with bell shaped soldered mouthpiece, coned-shaped column with original interior red paint, and terminating on a rolled molded edge opening, Early-19th century. Trumpet was used to amplify communication between passing vessels. Signed Captain L. Freeman.
