About the Item
A charming oil on board painting of a pondering dog in a country house kitchen. Age related craquelure to the painted surface, the odd knock and abrasion to the gilt gesso frame. But overall in good honest original condition.
On the reverse of the frame is penned J.Wheatley Jones 1887 Infero and also another inscription that I'm unable to fully decipher possibly a location farm??
