19th Century Folk Art Painting of a Gentleman Attributed to Horace Bundy

Oil on canvas, inscribed on the stretcher bar reverse. The painting is presented in a flat black frame that complements it well. Horace Bundy was an itinerant American portrait painter. He is generally classified as a folk artist, due to his lack of formal instruction.
