Beautiful American Silk Quilt was hand stitched in the late 1800s in the New England area of North East, United States. The design in this American Silk Quilt is known as the "Raising Barn" pattern by using the “Log Cabin” pattern blocks. The quilt was hand stitched of individual silk pieces in each frame. It is truly a labor of love and dedication. The hand stitched quilts from the 19th and the early 20th centuries have become extremely collectable. One reason is the delicate nature of such items. Because it is so delicate, it would be a wonderful piece to use as a wall art tapestry.
