Antique Folk Art Ornately Carved Wooden Picture Frame with Birds & Flowers
About the Item
This ornately hand-carved picture frame is unsigned, but presumed to have originated from Eastern Europe, and date to approximately 1920 and done in a Folk Art style. The frame is composed of a softwood which has been elaborately carved with a bird on the front of the cathedral styled top, surrounded by flowers are foliage on the side panels and base. The frame has a wooden back panel to hold a picture, or the artwork of choice securely.
