Early 19th century Italian hand-carved and polychromed wood crucifix sculptural school "Cadore" Measure cm: H 70, W 37, D 8 About: The area of Cadore and Bellunese in general is important for having given birth to the great sculptors Andrea Brustolon and Valentino Panciera Besarel. In this area Dolomitica of Italy, the School of wood art was born, which has represented in the past centuries, and still represents a center of excellence in the field of wood-carving. Famous are the productions of the "18th and 19th century wooden furnishings for the Quirinale" and the major masterpieces found in Italian churches.
