About the Item
This sculpture by Breton sculpter Raymond Vaillant depicts the famed Saint George slaying the dragon, thereby demolishing an evil force that survived on human sacrifices. Here, we see the horseman executing the beast and thus freeing humanity from its deathly habits.
The statue is made from grey granite in the Celtic style and dates from the 1940s.
