Frazer Nash huge illuminated advertising painted trade sign
This is an advertisement for the original and famous British racing car company Frazer Nash, the company was founded in 1922 and the picture depicts the great excitement and newness of the sport.
The sign is an unusual shape and was probably made for the top of a trade exhibition stand, it has a slightly curved shape and the top angles over the painting of the car lighting it with its 22 bulbs
The sign is made in and painted on wood, it is a heavy piece, the car in the painting is the Frazer Nash Shelsley a piece from the 1930s
The sign is weatherproof and it has been kept indoors and is in very good condition, there are hooks on the back which would enable it to be wall hung, the lower panel is 24” tall and the upper is 12” tall
The sign is 93” long, and 36” tall, allowing for the curve it is 11” deep
