Early 20th Century Chinese Opera Marionette Puppet

This Chinese opera marionette puppet is dress in an elegant embroidered silk dragon robe. The puppet head is of painted ceramic. The ornate headdress is decorate with beads, silk and metallic ornaments. These puppets were used in the early 20th century puppet versions of traditional Chinese opera. The puppet is displayed on an acrylic stand; dimensions are inclusive of the acrylic stand.
