About the Item

Finely carved from a single piece of wood, this stool from the Sidamo region of Ethiopia displays a wonderful sculptural quality. Four cone-shaped legs support the stool's slightly-curved seat and, located between each front and rear leg, is an unusual pointed phallic feature. Estimated Period: First Half of 20th Century
